The yellow ribbons in the
oak grove adjacent to our church represent service men and women who are serving our country around the world. This is a prayer
ministry in which our church has been in prayer for the soldiers and their families since the war in Iraq began. The yellow
ribbons in the grove are also a special reminder to those who pass our church to also pray for our service men and women and
for our country.
Each yellow ribbon in the grove represents a soldier who has not yet returned home as well
as others who have recently been deployed. As soldiers return home, their yellow ribbon is removed and presented to them.
Over 75 soldiers who had yellow ribbons in the grove have already returned home.
In addition to our prayers, we
have ministered to the families and also sent care packages to those still deployed.
Many soldiers are still in harm's
way and we will continue to pray for them. If you would like to tie a yellow ribbon in our grove for a loved one in service,
please contact our church office. This ministry is open to anyone with a family member or other loved one who is serving our
country around the world.
