Our Theology

As mission partners with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, we express ourselves as an autonomous local body of believers. We seek to be inclusive and caring while allowing each member the freedom to express his/her faith without fear of judgment. We believe God calls us to serve Him and others regardless of gender, age, or marital status. All members are ministers and, as such, are responsible for sharing the Gospel Good News. We celebrate the Bible as the inspired Word of God, subject to interpretation by the believer as led by the Holy Spirit. We believe mankind was created by a special act of God and was endowed by his Creator with the freedom of choice. All human beings have a natural inclination toward sin. This severs our personal relationship with God. God still loves us, desires a personal relationship with us, and has a purpose for us. He gave us His Son as the way for our salvation. We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of a virgin, crucified on a cross, and resurrected as our living Lord. Salvation is freely offered by God to those who accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Our salvation through faith in Jesus Christ is symbolized both in believer’s baptism and observance of the Lord’s Supper.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 (NIV)
